Description
Dubbing is used to allow alternate languages to the one adopted in the main Voice Acting. Dubbing may be pertinent not strictly by the players' inability to understand the original language but also by cultural reasons.
Issues with Dubbing are common to those in the practice in movie industry. Apart from the technical difficulties of lip synchronization (when it applies), some expressions are hardly translatable, for instance due to cultural specificities.
As with the original Voice Acting, the choice of voice actors may include marketing motivations that add to the performance itself, should the budget allow it.
